The National Tongan American Society is the oldest Tongan non profit organization of it's type in Utah! The National Tongan American Society was created in 1994 providing assistance with Immigration and translation services. Today we have processed hundreds of citizenship applications. We are now certified in Immigration Law Course of the National Immigration Paralegal Institute, Translation, ACA navigation, and assisting the community in gaining affordable health care. We also specialize in assistance with Medicare/Medicaid, and food Stamp applications. We provide programs of Education/ Scholarships, Wellness Programs which include Diabetes, Cancer, Living Well with Chronic Disease, Obesity, and Fitness, offered in English , Tongan and Samoan language. We are civically engaged in the community through promoting Voter Registration via phone banking, Voter Education, and Policy Training.

Pacific Islanders in Utah
There are over 45,000 Pacific Islanders in Utah. Tongans are the largest population in the state. Samoans are increasing at the same rate as Tongans. There is a fair number of Hawaiian, Fijians, Maori, Tahitian, Marshallese and Cook Islands.
Our Mission
The Mission of the National Tongan American Society (NTAS) is to advocate for, and empower all Tongan-Americans and other Pacific Islanders through programs and referrals that promote civic engagement, health, youth development, education and artistic, ethnic & cultural preservation.
