Po Hiva Kilisimasi

The traditional practice of holding Christmas Choral Nights throughout the island of Tonga was brought to Utah beginning in December of 1996.   Every year on the 2nd Sunday of December, at least 9-15 choirs from different denominations participate in the Po Hiva Kilisimasi. This year marked 21 years since we started our Annual Faith Coallition Spiritual Event. Our Po Hiva Kilisimasi (Christmas Concert) continues to grow every year as we continue to involve our Polynesian Youth to participate through song and music.  We have had the honor of having Chief Brown of the Salt Lake City Police Department, Judge Uno, Mayor McAdams of Salt Lake County, along with other dignitaries of Utah, 'Eiki Tu'ihalafatai Tui'ta  and over 500 people this year marking the highest attendance thus far.
